About Jason Nguyen - Realtor Associate
Jason Nguyen has been in the real estate industry since 2011, and first got his start in the industry through his parents. His parents were real estate investors and private lenders that both invested in properties and commercial projects and flipped houses around the city. Jason started house hunting with his parents at a very young age, learning everything they knew about the industry from experience.
In addition to his real estate experience, Jason became a business owner of a nail salon at the age of 22; he also became a licensed life insurance agent. However, real estate still continues to be his main focus and passion. Jason eventually became a licensed agent in 2015. He had the opportunity to work on a $2.2 million home in Memorial with his previous broker the first month after he was licensed; within his first year, he sold nearly 30 homes.
What Jason loves about real estate is the joy he feels after helping first time home buyers find their first home. He also enjoys the gratification from helping sellers get the most money in the shortest amount of time. However, Jason’s favorite part about his real estate career is being able to observe and admire all the different styles of homes around Houston; his favorite styles are Mediterranean, Spanish, and Contemporary.
Jason was born in Vietnam and lived there until he was 12. He moved to the US on his own in 2003 as an international student. During his first year in the States, he lived in upstate New York with a host family and eventually moved to San Diego. He lived there for 7 years with his godparents before finally settling in Houston in 2010 to attend the University of Houston, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication and a minor in Global Business. A few years after moving to Houston, Jason volunteered in the AIA Houston Home Tour, where his love for luxury homes first emerged. He also joined a networking group called BNI as the organization’s Relocation Specialist.
Jason loves everything about his new Houston home, especially the diversity and the many opportunities it provides foreigners like himself. Jason is married to his husband Rhett and is the parent of two hyper puppies. Outside of real estate, you can find Jason working out, eating at his favorite restaurants, or checking out the latest in technological gadgets.
