In honor of last month being National Women's Small Business Month, our hardworking CEO Nancy Almodovar participated in the "She Said. She Led. She is…" empowerment conference, hosted by L'Renee & Associates on October 30th.
L'Renee & Associates, a fellow woman-owned business, launched "She Said. She Led. She Is…" for the first time last year as a way of celebrating and empowering what they call "game changers." The conference offers women entrepreneurs the opportunity to attend capacity-building workshops and engage in conversations about building sustainable businesses and breaking through business barriers.
The afternoon resulted in strategic partnerships, endless exchanges of contact information and networking, and concrete solutions to help launch business success.
To kick off the event, Nancy gave a Ted-Talk style presentation to a room of over 50 women business owners about how she grew Nan and Company Properties over the past three years, and more specifically, how she uses technology to disrupt the market.
She discussed her journey toward being named the exclusive Houston affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, her setbacks that only made her stronger, and her successes that have led her to being named the #1 Luxury Realtor in Houston.
