July was a busy month at Nan and Company Properties, our Nan New Homes Specialist Team was named as one of the Top 10 Teams for “Small Team by Transaction”, with 360 transactions, and named one of the Top 3 Teams for “Small Team by Sales Volume”, with $157.01M. They were awarded by The Houston Business Journal during the 2021 Residential Real Estate Awards. In addition, Nan and Company Properties as a whole was announced in an article by local Houston news affiliate CW39 Houston as one of the “Best Real Estate Offices in Houston” by Aceable. We also celebrated seven years as a company and found plenty of local businesses to try, one of which we highlight in this blog post!
Nan Day
On July 14th, 2021, Nan and Company Properties celebrated the official “Nan Day” certified by the mayor of Houston, Texas. This Nan Day marked our seventh year as a company and to commemorate the day we gathered the “Nan Fam” together at Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company for an evening of celebration and reflection.
Supporting Local
Nan and Company Properties makes supporting local businesses a priority. Each month, we highlight a local business within our city that embodies the heart and soul of locally owned businesses. This month, Nan is proud to highlight Howdy Homemade Ice Cream. Located in Katy, Texas, this Howdy Homemade Ice Cream location was started and owned by rapper and Houston native, Trae tha Truth alongside his business partner, Roderick Batson.
The heart of Howdy is the individuals who work there. With thirteen stores throughout the United States, Howdy was created by Tom Landis with the vision in mind that everyone has potential. Their goal, “to change the way businesses hire people with special needs.” That is why they made it their mission to train and employ individuals with Down syndrome and autism.
