Every month Nan and Company Properties highlights different areas of Houston in our “Neighborhood Tours.” In this tour we introduce a few of our favorite places to eat, shop, and hang out in one of the most popular neighborhoods in town, Uptown Houston.
The Uptown district is home to shopping, dining, and a large population of business professionals. West of Downtown this area of Houston is home to The Galleria mall, the largest shopping mall in the state of Texas, and over 2,000 different companies. This week we take a look at some of our favorite places in the neighborhood we call home.
Giant Leap Coffee
Located in the center of the Uptown Park shopping center near Memorial Park. This space-themed coffee shop offers caffeinated drinks such as the Cold Brew Jasmine Iced Tea, Cafe Sua Da, and Tlahuac Horchata Cold Brew. When the Houston weather is nice, enjoy outdoor seating on their patio.
La Table Houston
Modern restaurant with local, seasonal, and French-inspired cuisine. Located on Post Oak Blvd the atmosphere is fresh and vibrant. The newly redesigned, outdoor patio is perfect for the days when Houston weather shines!
House of Pies
Known for great service and a fun atmosphere, House of Pies is a staple for their amazing desserts. Native to Houston, House of Pies is of course known for their incredible pies. The #Nanfam recommends the Texas Pecan Fudge Pie and the Pumpkin Pie!
The Rustic
The newest location of The Rustic is in the Uptown Shopping Center. This fun, indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar offers Houstonians a fun place to catch up with friends. With food sourced from Texas ranchers and farmers and 20 different beers on tap, The Rustic is a must!
Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park
Looking for a relaxing place to hang out in the city? Check out this 2.77 acres green space surrounded by live oak trees and home to the 64 foot architectural fountain. This spot is perfect for enjoying nice Houston weather, reading, relaxing or setting up a picnic.
