Organizational Tips | Decluttering Your Space

Home organization is a trending topic thanks to shows on Netflix like “Home Edit” and “Tidying up with Marie Kondo” which were a hit in 2020 due to the majority of people finding themselves spending more time at home. What these series showed us is that decluttering and organizing your space are important and not as difficult as we might think. With a new year that everyone is looking forward to comes a chance to start fresh. Now is the best time to declutter and re-organize your space so here are a few tips for some key places in your home:

47 Grand Regency Circle

Closet

When it comes to your closet it is important to really evaluate what you need and what you can live without. If you have a jacket in the back of your closet that you have not worn in ten years it might be time to let it go. Separate your wardrobe by seasons and colors. Rotate your closet each season depending on the weather where you live. Donate unworn items routinely but keep timeless pieces that can be mixed and matched throughout your wardrobe.

Kitchen

Utilizing cabinet space in your kitchen can change your life when it comes to organization. Start by throwing away tupperware that does not have matching lids. Toss out any food in your pantry that might be expired. Reorganize your spices by using labels to clearly see what you have. You can also buy a spinning rack that will minimize how much space your spices take up.

1148 Lake Pointe Parkway

Living Room

The living room is a central point in the home, it is the place where everyone gathers so it is easy for this space to become cluttered. Finding clever storage places in your living room is important. A coffee table that can also double as a storage compartment is a great starting point. Your TV console table can also be used to store books, family games, and display pictures.
