Real Estate Since 2020

Real Estate Since 2020

Industries all over the world have been forced to find a “new normal” due to Covid-19, and Real Estate is no different. An industry that essentially works through human interaction has had to revamp the way business is done in a world in which social distancing has become our reality. From virtual listings to implementing social distancing guidelines at open houses, Real Estate has proven to be a fast paced and adaptable industry that is well aware of the changes needed to succeed in the new world we live in.

This past year we spent the majority of time in our homes searching for things to do and ways to keep ourselves occupied, thus finding ourselves escaping to social media. Realtors soon noticed that engagement on social media is vital when building a brand, especially when people are using social media now more than ever. Producing quick 30 second videos of listings or shooting home walkthroughs on Instagram has become a key to showing potential clients a variety of homes on the market. Matterport, also saw a huge increase. These 3D doll-house model virtual showings allow users to “walkthrough” the home without physically being there. You can view Matterport on your phone, tablet, or computer, allowing for easy and convenient access. The perks of using these mediums to show homes is that potential buyers will have a clearer idea if this is the property for them before they even step foot in the home.

Traditional open houses also look different from last year with Covid-19 related safety protocols put in place to protect individuals coming to see homes in person. One of our agents, Anastasia Gaido, places hand sanitizer throughout the home when hosting an open house as well as “Masks Required to Enter” signs at the front entrance. When it comes to sharing contact information from potential buyers she asks for their information as they enter the home to avoid having to share pens.

It is no secret that the pandemic has forced change among all types of industries as individuals and businesses find a way to continue to conduct business with the goal of keeping others safe. Real Estate is continuing to navigate through this time with the purpose of keeping the client happy and making sure buyers and sellers are confident during this uneasy time. From implementing social distancing guidelines and Covid-19 safety protocols the industry has maintained the same level of customer satisfaction and continues to make the home buying experience effortless.

If you would like more information on any of our listings, safety protocols put in place during open houses or are considering moving, please do not hesitate to contact us at Nan and Company Properties!
