Initiated in 2015, Nan and Company Properties started their annual Nan Cares Toy Drive with the desire to benefit and spread holiday cheer to the students of Houston’s underprivileged elementary schools.
Our goal for 2018 was to surpass our record of donations and to benefit SER Niños Elementary, a charter school located in the Gulfton area. After many generous donations, we were able to kick-off the holiday season and the SER Niños students were able to receive their gifts.
We were extremely excited to have Clint Capela, Houston Rockets' center and power forward, as our special guest attend our long-awaited toy drive. The children enjoyed selecting their own toys, interacting with Capela and getting a chance to take photos. Watch the video below to get an inside look!
Along with creating many smiles among the children, Clint Capela and his team revealed the launch of his first program, CC15 Foundation, which will help low-income single parent families give them greater opportunities. We are all very happy to have been a part of this big moment!
Thank you to our team for their contribution in making our annual Nan Cares Toy Drive a huge success! We were able to collect 600 toys including, footballs, dolls, action figures and legos for all the students. In addition, we would like to give a HUGE thank you to 3-Men Movers who helped our #NanFam deliver the toys!
