The Mommie Series Houston kicked off the season with a fun, fashionable and informative event at the JW Marriott on May 6th. Attendees were treated to an exquisite dinner, high-end fashions, networking and engaging speakers.
Nan & Co Properties founder and CEO, Nancy Almodovar, was one of several speakers to address the crowd of approximately one hundred women. Nancy’s speech, “Buy, Sell or Lease: Houston’s Hot Market” gave attendees insight about real estate and finance. During her talk, Nancy used personal success stories to encourage the women to be active participants in the health of their financial future.
“It’s always so much fun getting together with a group of amazing women who all not only value taking care of their families, but also taking care of themselves, which is what The Mommie Series is all about,” said Nancy.
Additional speakers included Josephine Firat, founder of Firat Education, who spoke on “FES: 12 Week Summer Prep for the Next Grade Level”; Kathleen McMordie, founder of Texas Swim Academy, who gave comments around the topic “Swimming for Survival”; and noted fashion experts David Peck, Elaine Turner and Chloe Dao presented “Summer Fashion from Three Local Designers.”
Allison Bagley, CEO of Tidbits, served as the event’s mistress of ceremony.
