Summer 2026 in The Woodlands, Camps, Events, and Everything in Between

Your Complete Guide to The Woodlands Township's Most Exciting Summer Lineup Yet
June 4, 2026

Summer 2026 has kicked off in The Woodlands and it’s packed with activities for every age, every interest, and every schedule. Whether you have kids who need a full summer of fun or you are looking for adult leagues, live music, and community events to fill your calendar, The Woodlands Township has put together one of its most exciting summer lineups yet. Here is what you need to know.

Summer Camps for the Kiddos

The Woodlands Township's signature Sunny Dayz Camps run from May 26 through August 11 at both the Bear Branch and Rob Fleming Recreation Centers. Open to kids ages 6 to 12, weekly sessions are $230 and include field trips, special guests, STEAM activities, swim days, and themed weeks like Jungle Safari, Super Hero Academy, and Texas Wildlife. Teen Camp and Counselor in Training programs are also available for ages 13 to 15.

For specialty camps, families can choose from an incredible lineup including Crayola Arts Academy, iCode STEM and robotics camps, Roblox vs. Minecraft coding camps, LEGO Engineering, NASA space explorer camp, Mad Science, Young Rembrandts art camps, Skyhawks multi-sport camps, outdoor adventure with Texas TreeVentures, and more, all running weekly through the summer at Rob Fleming Recreation Center.

Special Events and Free Concerts

The Woodlands is delivering a full summer of community events, many of them free.

Waterway Nights brings free live music every Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Waterway Square through the summer. Rock the Row at Hughes Landing offers free live music on Thursday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. through August, featuring local and regional bands. Family Bingo Night at Rob Fleming Rec Center runs monthly for just $5 per person.

For July 4th, The Woodlands is going all out for America's 250th anniversary with a Firecracker 5K on July 2, the Star Spangled Salute free concert featuring the Houston Symphony on July 3 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, the Fourth of July Parade on the morning of July 4th, and the Red Hot & Blue Festival across multiple Woodlands venues in the evening.

Pools, Boat Houses, and Outdoor Fun!

The Woodlands Township's Summer Pool Pass gives unlimited access to all 14 community pools starting at just $45 for residents ages 3 to 64, covering more than 17 weeks of swimming. Six spraygrounds are also open daily from March through October.

On the water, Riva Row Boat House offers kayaks, paddleboards, pedal boats, and swan boats along The Woodlands Waterway with summer hours 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. Lakes Edge Boat House offers a more intimate experience launching directly onto Lake Woodlands from the Hughes Landing area.

Texas TreeVentures aerial adventure course at Rob Fleming Park features nearly 100 challenge-based obstacles for adults and youth, with extended summer hours through August 10. A brand new Outdoor Adventure Camp for ages 9 to 15 is also available for $240 per session.

Tennis, Pickleball, and Time for the Adults

The Woodlands Tennis Academy offers youth and adult programs across multiple neighborhood courts throughout the summer, from beginner lessons to competitive leagues and tournaments. The 3rd Annual Founders Cup doubles tournament takes place October 17.

Pickleball lovers have weekly lessons, ladder leagues, drop-in play days, and socials available across Bear Branch, Falconwing, Creekwood, and Windvale courts. Adult leagues include 7v7 soccer, softball, drop-in basketball, and Wednesday night soccer play nights.

For adults looking for something different, the summer lineup also includes Tai Chi, Country and Western dancing, Swing and Jitterbug, 9D Breathworks, Adult HIIT and Mobility classes, and a free Summer Solstice Yoga event on June 21 at Wendtwoods Park.

One of the things that makes The Woodlands such an extraordinary place to live is exactly this, a community that invests in the people who call it home, every single summer. At Nan and Company Properties, we are proud to be part of this community and help families find their place in it.
