May is officially Bike Month in The Woodlands, and the community is gearing up for its 10th anniversary! The Woodlands Township and the Bike The Woodlands Coalition have packed the calendar with rides, workshops, competitions, and community events for all skill levels.
The fun kicks off with the Bike Month Ride Challenge May 1–15, where participants track miles and compete for top rider honors. On May 9, head to Northshore Park for the Bike Swap to buy, sell, or trade bikes and accessories. National Bike to Work Week runs May 11–15, and families can celebrate National Bike & Roll to School Day on May 6.
The highlight of the month is Bike The Woodlands Day at Rob Fleming Recreation Center from 9 a.m. to noon. The first 150 cyclists to arrive get a free Kona Ice snow cone! At 9:30 a.m., choose from three guided rides. The relaxed Pathways Ride, the 15-mile Road Ride, or the scenic Trail Ride through George Mitchell Preserve. The morning wraps with an awards ceremony at 11 a.m. celebrating top riders and scholarship winners.
