This past May, we were super excited to celebrate our CEO, Nancy Almodovar's, with a charity brunch benefiting the nurse staff at Houston Methodist Hospital.
This year's annual birthday brunch marked a milestone birthday for Nancy – and an occasion to celebrate her professional achievements. To mark this year’s many milestones, Nancy recently became one of the Houston Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.” That honor was also accompanied by other notable recognitions, including Texas 100 List: Influential Texans to Know in 2022 and Houston's 50 Most Influential Women. Additionally, Nan and Company Properties has continued to rank among the region’s top luxury real estate firms.
"This year has been an incredible year to celebrate, but one that also reinforced my commitment to giving back and prioritizing balance," said Almodovar. "My husband, Jose, put his blood, sweat, and tears into building this new office from the ground up. Ironically, it also landed him in the hospital. We are grateful for the incredible nursing staff at Houston Methodist for their incredible care and getting him back on his feet quickly. I cannot think of a better gift this year than to be able to reward them for what they do day-in and day-out to care for others."
Over 200 friends gathered at Nan’s newly opened flagship office in the Heights to toast to the one-of-a-kind murals by local artists and the state-of-the-art technology driven workplace. The guests were greeted by all your local favorites: a vintage Italian Piaggo Ape serving mimosas by Jo’s Mobile Mini and treated to a custom “Nan Pop-Up Shop” that included custom Nan apparel and delicious bites and sweets set up for enjoyment in a boutique style setting.
Houston Methodist Hospital is truly amazing, and we wanted to give back to the nurses who work so hard to care for our loved ones. We got to meet and chat with some of the incredible nurses who work tirelessly on a daily basis—what an experience! Thank you to everyone who donated!
