KING’S OKTOBERFEST | OCT. 5-7 & 19 – 21

BERRYLAND FARMS OF TEXAS | WEEKENDS OF OCTOBER 13TH – NOVEMBER 3RD
Bring the entire family to Berryland Farms of Texas, just east of Houston, to enjoy a golden autumn day and channel your inner farmer with many activities such as hayrides, corn mazes, 85 ft. slide and specialty food and desserts. Families can also spend time picking the perfect pumpkin, then have the chance to indulge in a picnic lunch aside country peace and quiet.
SCREAMWORLD | SEPT. 22 – NOV. 3
Prepare to have the most terrifying night you and your friends have ever had. Known as Houston’s Most Terrifying Haunts, Screamworld is a fan-favorite haunted house which is located North of Houston and is now open and eager to give you a spine-tingling experience. Brace yourself for the multi-haunted house attractions like Jake’s Slaughterhouse, VooDoo Swamp, Maze of Maniacs, Zombie Graveyard and more.

The Houston Zoo invites all the little ghouls and goblins to celebrate Halloween with many activities that are fun for the entire family. Kids are encouraged to arrive dressed up in their spookiest or prettiest costumes and don’t forget the trick-or-treat bags! A Whataburger pumpkin patch, the Monster Mural, and Zoo Boo activities will be the highlight of your visit.
TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL | SEPTEMBER 29 – NOVEMBER 25TH
Located in Plantersville, TX, this festival recreates an English Village of the 16th century and is filled with food, comedians, musicians, live jousting and more. The Texas Renaissance Festival runs for several weeks, so start planning your visit to the nation’s largest, most acclaimed renaissance theme park.
WINGS OVER HOUSTON AIRSHOW | OCTOBER 20 – 21
The Wings Over Houston Airshow, located at the Houston Ellington Field, features the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. This popular community event is one of the top air shows in the United States and is dedicated to showcasing vintage World War II aircrafts, along with the thrills of modern aviation.
BAYOU CITY ART FESTIVAL DOWNTOWN | OCTOBER 13TH – 14TH
If you enjoy attending art shows, definitely check out the Bayou City Art Festival in downtown’s Hermann Square and Tranquility Park which spans several blocks and is filled with paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and music, plus great food, wine cafes, beer taverns, and a kids zone.
FESTA ITALIANA (HOUSTON ITALIAN FESTIVAL) | OCTOBER 11 – 14
The Italian Cultural and Community Center presents Festa Italiana, Houston’s Annual Italian Festival which is on the campus of St. Thomas University. The festival features authentic Italian food, wine, music, dancing, arts and crafts and entertainment for all ages.
