Looking into different schools can be a strenuous process, especially in the middle of planning a move, so with you and your children’s best interest in mind, we’ve researched Houston school ratings and rankings, and have come up with a list of some of the top public school districts found around the greater Houston area.
KATY ISD (KATY, TX)
While you may find that Katy ISD is ranked as one of the largest school districts in Texas, they make efforts to ensure that no child is left behind. KISD rates high in academics, teachers, and diversity.
FRIENDSWOOD ISD (FRIENDSWOOD, TX)
Friendswood ISD makes the list because it’s considered to be within the top ten districts in Texas with the best academics. FISD also has a high retention and graduation rate.
PEARLAND ISD (PEARLAND, TX)
Pearland ISD ranks high because of its large diversity across the district. The district also has a high rating in academics and graduation.
CLEAR CREEK ISD (LEAGUE CITY, TX)
Clear Creek ISD was ranked as one of the top ten districts in Texas with the best teachers. Clear Creek ISD also is rated high in academics.
CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD (HOUSTON, TX)
Cypress-Fairbanks ISD tops Katy ISD when it comes to district size. Ranking at number 3 among the largest districts in Texas, Cy-Fair ISD prides itself in diversity and its high graduation and college preparedness rate.
KLEIN ISD (KLEIN, TX)
Klein ISD does not fall far behind Cy-Fair ISD when it comes to diversity. The district is also listed with some of the best teachers in Texas.
