Nan and Company Properties/Christie’s International Real Estate has received numerous accolades in the past six months, and under the leadership of our CEO Nancy Almodovar, our brokerage will only continue to flourish. Nancy has been named as one of the Top 25 real estate agents based on sales volume and as the No. 1 luxury real estate agent in Houston, and we could not be more proud of her! She recently sat down with Forbes to talk about the best ways to get started in the industry and to give some “winning tips” on how to stand out from the rest. The following are three lessons she learned early on.
1. Get Mentors
“There is no way I would be where I am today if I did not have mentors and key people in my business and personal life that gave me the knowledge and the right advice at the right time,” Nancy told Forbes. It can be tough getting your foot in the door, but the best way to do it is to just get out there and get experience. Listen to people who are experts in their field, and take action. Struggle a bit, make mistakes, and learn from them. Soon you will be a mentor too.
2. Use Technology
At Nan and Company Properties/Christie’s International Real Estate, we keep our fingers on the digital pulse. We focus on analytics, market analysis, social media, videography, trends, digital ads, digital campaigns, re-targeting, data capture, CMR and so much more. We are staying up to date with the latest technology and trends, making our jobs easier while helping us to stand out against the competition. It’s why we’re the exclusive Houston affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate. It’s why we’re Houston’s premier luxury real estate firm. It’s what’s going to help us grow even stronger. Learn these methods, use them to your advantage and watch your business grow!
3. Invest in Your Customers
“Never fail your customers.” Nancy says. “Never give them a reason to not want to recommend you to their friends.” Through our strict customer-first policy, we make our clients the number one priority. So far, our Nan team has developed a strong brand based on first-rate results and enjoyable experiences, but we’re always looking for ways to improve and better serve our community. We understand that not every transaction is a smooth one, but let your bad situations be few and far between. Learn from your clients, establish long-lasting relationships with them, and they’ll remember you next time they need an agent. Invest in your customers, and they will invest in you.
