Houston Astros vs. Toronto Blue Jays (Jeff Bagwell Hall of Fame Weekend)- 8/4 – 8/6

Join the entire city in celebrating Jeff Bagwell’s induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame at Bagwell Hall of Fame Weekend at Minute Maid Park! This weekend will recognize Bagwell’s memorable career with giveaways, a photo op for fans with the Hall of Fame plaque, and a special pregame ceremony. The first 10,000 fans through the gates for Friday’s game will grab a 1997 blue-and-gold Bagwell replica jersey!

Houston Texans vs. Dallas Cowboys- 8/31

The long-awaited football season is almost here, and it’s kicking off with a Texas showdown. Texas Wine and Spirits Fest: Summer Edition- 8/26

It’s a celebration of Texas culture! Come out to Bayou City Event Center, and enjoy an array of Texas-branded food, beer, wine and spirits. We bet you’ll discover a new favorite! This year’s inaugural show will feature a Texas art show, a live painting show, music, samplings from local restaurants, and food trucks.

Southern Fried Chicken Fest- 8/12

Join in on a celebration of Houston’s number one consumed fried food! Self Defense Theme Night at the Houston Food Bank- 8/2

Fight hunger by joining the Houston Food Bank for a short volunteer shift followed by a self-defense course by Tim Mousel, owner of the Mousel’s Self-Defense Academy, to help empower you with the skills, tactics and strategies to escape a violent situation. Men and women are both encouraged to attend; one can never be too prepared! Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate.

White Linen Night in the Heights- 8/5
