    Ways to Celebrate the Holidays in 2020

    2020 has been an unprecedented year in almost every way possible. It comes with no surprise that people will be having to conduct their holiday traditions a little differently this year, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t still celebrate the season! We’ve compiled a list of social distance-friendly activities you can do with your family throughout this holiday season. 

     

    Rudolph Lightshow 

    This is the perfect way to get your fill of holiday cheer, all from the comfort and safety of your own car! Rudolph’s Lightshow, located in Hockley about 30 minutes from downtown, is putting on a drive through light show from November 5th to January 3rd.  The show lasts between 20-25 minutes and features a gorgeous lightshow synched to music that plays from your own car radio. You can buy tickets for the lightshow online here , and at the door (although the tickets are $5 more if you buy them at the door. 

     

    Reliant Lights Mayor’s Holiday Spectacular 

    This year, the 2020 Reliant Lights Mayor’s Holiday Spectacular 101st year event has been reimagined as a virtual holiday celebration.  Relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday from the comfort of home. The virtual show will take place on December 5, from 6:30 pm. – 8:00 pm., LIVE Streamed on ABC 13 Digital Platforms. The show will be rebroadcast on Friday, December 18, 7 pm.  – 8 pm on ABC 13.

     

    Sugar Land Holiday Lights 2020

    The seventh annual Sugar Land Holiday Lights cooled by Just Fix It is back at Constellation Field November 20 through January 3! This sparkling wonderland features more than 3 million lights, a carnival, and numerous themed displays. You can also get your holiday shopping done with a variety of vendors, enjoy great food, and meet Santa! Grab your friends and family and join us for the holiday fun here at Constellation Field! The event will be following all COVID-19 safety protocols. All attendees and staff will be required to wear a mask while inside the facility and will have their temperature checked upon entry. Sanitation stations will be located around Constellation Field for the event and the Skeeters will also be enforcing social distancing measures recommended by the CDC.
